Conditions: Thai ordinary-passport holders may enter Vietnam without a visa for up to 30 days under the bilateral ordinary-passport exemption. This exemption is separate from Vietnam's electronic-visa programme, so an eVisa is not required for a tourism visit that remains within the bilateral conditions. The traveller must carry a qualifying valid passport, meet Vietnam's entry and onward-travel requirements and follow the admission record issued at the border. A longer stay, employment, residence or another purpose outside the exemption requires the appropriate Vietnamese visa or permission before the applicable deadline.
