Conditions: A People's Republic of China ordinary-passport holder needs Ethiopian entry permission and may request a tourism visa on arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport for a usual stay of 30 days. Ethiopian immigration retains discretion to refuse issuance, so the arrival facility is not guaranteed. The traveller may instead apply online for an Ethiopian eVisa before departure or obtain a visa from the Ethiopian Embassy in China; using prior approval can reduce arrival uncertainty. The diplomatic, service and public-affairs passport exemption is a separate regime and does not make the ordinary passport visa-free. The permission issued and immigration endorsement determine the actual stay.
