Stay: Visa-free ASEAN social visit for less than one month; complete the MDAC before arrival

Conditions: Thai ordinary-passport holders are ASEAN nationals and do not require a visa for a social visit to Malaysia of less than one month. This canonical tourism rule records that published allowance as up to 30 days rather than inferring a longer stay from the absence of a visa. Travellers must submit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card within the three days before arrival unless an official exemption applies, use a passport valid for at least six months, satisfy the purpose, accommodation, funds and onward-travel checks, and follow the period endorsed by Malaysian immigration. Employment, study and stays beyond the visitor allowance require the appropriate Malaysian permission.
