Ordinary Passport
Selected passportStay: Visa required before ordinary tourism travel; follow the stay and validity printed on the issued visa, with only a narrowly scoped southern-tour exception
Conditions: A full British citizen passport holder must obtain a visa before an ordinary tourism visit to Algeria and should apply through the Algerian Consulate in the United Kingdom. The passport must expire at least 6 months after arrival, and the traveller must check the issued visa's dates and conditions because the current country-specific guidance does not publish one universal tourist stay allowance that can safely be inferred. A narrowly scoped visa-on-arrival possibility exists for some trips focused mainly on southern Algeria with a confirmed reservation through an approved local agency, but travellers must confirm eligibility with the consulate and must not treat it as general arrival access.
