Ordinary Passport
Selected passportStay: Visa-free initial stay of 28 days; up to two further 28-day periods require separate extensions
Conditions: A full British citizen ordinary-passport holder does not need a visa to visit The Gambia and receives an entry stamp authorising an initial stay of 28 days on arrival. The passport must remain valid for the duration of the stay. The Immigration Office in Banjul or tourist police stations in the Tourism Development Area may grant up to two separate extensions of 28 days each, but those discretionary post-arrival extensions do not enlarge the initial visa-free grant and a residence permit is required for a longer stay. The airport security fee payable on arrival and departure is a separate charge rather than a visa condition, and land entry in a private vehicle may involve an additional registration fee.
