Conditions: A full British citizen passport holder may visit Vietnam for tourism without a visa for up to 45 days. The passport must expire at least 6 months after arrival, have at least 2 blank pages and be undamaged, and the same passport must be used to enter and leave. Immigration stamps the date by which the traveller must depart, so that endorsement must be checked before leaving the border point. For a planned stay beyond 45 days, the traveller must obtain an appropriate permission, including an eligible eVisa that can allow up to 90 days and multiple entries; that longer eVisa product must not be confused with the 45-day visa exemption.
