Conditions: A full British citizen passport holder may visit Taiwan for tourism without a visa for an initial stay of up to 90 days. The passport must expire at least six months after arrival, and the traveller must submit the online Taiwan Arrival Card within the three days before arrival unless a published exemption applies. Taiwan permits an eligible visitor to request one further extension of up to 90 days after arrival, but that is a separate immigration decision and is not part of the initial visa-free allowance. Naturalised British citizens born in the People's Republic of China and British National (Overseas) passport holders are subject to separate rules.
