Ordinary Passport
Selected passportStay: Visa-free tourism on a United States tourist passport: up to 90 days; any extension requires separate approval
Conditions: A United States citizen travelling on an ordinary tourist passport does not need a Uruguayan visa for a tourism visit of up to 90 days. The passport must be valid at entry and have space for the entry stamp; travellers should also be prepared to show return or onward travel, accommodation and sufficient funds. The exemption applies to the ordinary tourism passport and short visitor purpose, while diplomatic or official passports and regulated activities follow different rules. Any extension is a separate immigration process and must not be treated as part of the initial visa-free allowance.
