Ordinary Passport
Selected passportStay: Visa-free Portugal and Schengen tourism up to 90 days in any 180-day period across the whole area
Conditions: A Canadian ordinary-passport holder is included in Portugal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs list of nationalities exempt from a Schengen short-stay visa. Tourism is therefore visa-free for no more than 90 days in any rolling 180-day period across the entire Schengen area, rather than a separate 90-day Portuguese allowance; qualifying days used in other participating countries count toward the same total. The passport must remain valid for more than three months after the planned stay, and the traveller must still satisfy border-entry conditions. Work, residence and stays beyond the short-stay allowance require the appropriate Portuguese permission, and visa exemption does not guarantee admission.
