Stay: Tourist entry visa required before travel; authorised stay follows the issued visa and border admission

Conditions: United States ordinary-passport holders must obtain a valid Ghanaian entry visa from a Ghana diplomatic mission or consulate before arrival. Border officials may refuse entry without pre-approval, the passport must remain valid for at least six months beyond arrival, and evidence of return or onward travel may be requested. Travellers aged nine months or older must also present documented proof of yellow-fever vaccination; the authorised stay follows the visa and admission granted rather than a universal tourist-stay ceiling.
