Stay: Visa-free tourism for up to 90 days; K-ETA temporarily exempt through 31 December 2026
Conditions: Australian ordinary-passport holders may visit the Republic of Korea for tourism for up to 90 days without a visa. Australia is temporarily exempt from the normally applicable K-ETA requirement through 31 December 2026, so a K-ETA is not currently required before travel; previously approved K-ETAs remain valid. Travellers should submit the required arrival declaration, must not undertake employment or other activities requiring a visa, and remain subject to Korean immigration admission. Because the K-ETA exemption is time-limited, the requirement must be rechecked for travel after 31 December 2026.
