Stay: Electronic Visitor Visa required before travel; visitor stay up to 90 days, with any extension requested separately
Conditions: Since 10 April 2025, Canadian ordinary-passport holders must obtain Brazil's electronic Visitor Visa before travelling for tourism. The e-Visa is issued electronically and permits a visitor stay of up to 90 days; this authorised stay is distinct from any longer validity printed on the visa. The travel passport must remain valid throughout the trip, and travellers may be asked for return or onward travel and proof of sufficient funds. Any extension must be requested from the Federal Police before the authorised stay expires.
