Ordinary Passport
Selected passportStay: Visa-free initial tourism stay up to 90 days; an approved post-arrival extension may increase the total to 180 days
Conditions: Canadian ordinary-passport holders are eligible to enter Taiwan without a visa for an initial tourism stay of up to 90 days. The passport must normally have at least six months of remaining validity on arrival, and the traveller must hold a confirmed return or onward ticket within the authorised stay and use an eligible port of entry. Canadian passport holders may apply after arrival to extend the stay up to a maximum of 180 days, but that extension is a separate discretionary process and is not included in the canonical initial-stay value. Visa exemption does not guarantee admission or authorise employment or residence.
