Ordinary Passport
Selected passportStay: Schengen visa required before travel; maximum 90 days in any 180-day period across the whole area
Conditions: A mainland People's Republic of China ordinary-passport holder must obtain a Schengen visa before travelling to Austria for tourism. Applications in China are lodged with the competent Schengen state, normally the sole or main destination, and an issued short-stay visa permits no more than 90 days in any rolling 180-day period across the whole Schengen area. The limit is not a separate Austrian allowance and the visa sticker may authorise fewer days or entries. Possession of the visa does not guarantee entry; the traveller may be asked for purpose, accommodation, means and return evidence at the border.
