How Bilig works on iPhone and iPad

The iOS app combines route discovery, travel planning, Apple Maps experiences, document-aware entry context, and optional public trip sharing.

Access and accounts

Account features use Sign in with Apple and Bilig's account service. Authentication credentials are handled through the platform and protected app storage; Bilig never asks you to publish a password or identity document scan.

Location and recommendations

iOS location access is used only after the relevant system permission is granted. A location can suggest a departure or place on a trip, and you can reject or replace every suggestion.

Data used on this platform

Trip, profile, passport-type, and visa preferences are used to personalize the app. Selecting a photo for location extraction gives Bilig access only to the items selected through the system picker; extracted locations are reviewed before being added.

Public trips and sharing

Publishing and republishing require an explicit confirmation. iOS uses the system share sheet for public links, and unpublish removes the public snapshot from normal access and indexing.

Platform services

Mapping uses Apple platform services. App distribution and certain platform behavior are also governed by Apple's terms and the Bilig EULA.
